Volta Experimental Rocketry Team
Who are we?
Volta is a training group within the Astra research group at the University of Antioquia, made up of students from diverse disciplines with a shared passion: experimental rocketry. Inspired by science and technology, we seek to promote aerospace development in Colombia, training new generations of professionals and driving innovation in the sector.
What we do?
At Volta, we believe in the power of collaborative work and the importance of knowledge sharing. We are dedicated to training new generations of rocketry professionals, providing them with skills in the areas of design, construction, launch, and analysis of experimental rockets & satellites.
To achieve this, we develop international projects that allow us to put our knowledge into practice and represent the University of Antioquia and Colombia in rocketry competitions. Among our most outstanding projects is the construction of high-performance rockets, capable of reaching altitudes from 500 meters to 10 kilometers.
What is our vision?
To be a leading research group in Colombia that inspires and promotes the development of aerospace science and technology, training highly skilled professionals who contribute to the advancement of the sector at a national and international level. We aspire to be a benchmark in research and innovation, promoting the creation of proprietary technologies and fostering collaboration with other institutions and companies in the sector. Our goal is to awaken the passion for rocketry in new generations and consolidate Colombia as a relevant player in the global aerospace scene.
What is our mision?
To train the next generation of rocketry professionals in Colombia, driving aerospace development through research, innovation, and collaborative work. We focus on providing our members with a comprehensive experience that combines theory and practice, fostering the development of skills in the design, construction, launch, and analysis of experimental rockets.
